Year 10 Geography

Year 10 Geography took a fieldtrip out to the beautiful Dandenong Ranges National Park to study Environmental Management and Change. Students were tasked with following the course of a river over several different fieldwork locations and taking various measurements at each site. We were lucky to receive support from MelbourneWater who loaned a water testing kit for us to use. Students gained experience with a range of different equipment, and had an enjoyable time getting their hands dirty. The specific creek we were looking at is one of the last remaining habitats for platypus near Melbourne, so ensuring the health of it is vital to keeping the platypus population strong. A big thanks to Ms Lobb for accompanying the students, and to the brilliant class of Year 10 Geography.
