Touch Football

I’m Erin Winstanley and I am your Touch Football Captain for 2023. My touch football journey began at Brothers Touch Football Club on a Friday afternoon playing with friends in a fun environment. Through these experiences I grew my love for the sport, which acted contrary on my determination to succeed. I developed my skills which followed by playing at Junior State Cup and further representative positions. 

Playing with multiple different teams, I built connections and friendships that I will keep forever. As your Touch Football Captain, I will always inspire you to step out of your comfort zone and build new connections. No matter your ability there is a team for you at Mt A! 

In Term 2 the touch football season began. We had four junior teams enter the competition, where we returned with some amazing results. Our Year 7 A team took first on the podium and the Year 7 B and C teams followed closely behind, taking third place. Our Year 8 team had a long season but worked hard and played with the Mt A spirit. 

This term, our Intermediate and Open teams have jumped into the season. With six teams - four Intermediates and two Seniors - all players stepped up and stepped out. Specifically, our Open team, which has persevered through a rocky start, takes the field every week with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Let’s see what’s to come as the season progresses!
