Sporting Success
Congratulations to our Year 9 student Roshan Joseph Biju who competed at the U15 Badminton Championships held in Adelaide during the Term break.
The Australian Under 15 National Championships were held in Adelaide from the 6 - 10 of Jul. Roshan won the title of National Under 15 Boys Champion. Roshan also won the Silver in the Boys doubles category. One more congratulations is due to Roshan for being a co-recipient of the Ross & Jan Synot Sportsmanship Award in the 2022 YONEX Australian National Under 15 Individual Championships. We are very proud of Roshan and his incredible achievements!

2022 Shaun Tan Award for Young Artists
Congratulations to Year 3 student, Willow Millar. Willow received Third Place at the 2022 Shaun Tan Award for Young Artists which was recently held at the Subiaco Library. The submission was highly regarded by Mr Tan and referred to in the presentations commending her on her art work. Willow also received the Subi Kids Crew Award. Congratulations Willow!
Singin' in the Rain
During the July school holidays, Sienna Macri performed in Bel Canto Performing Arts production of Singin’ in the Rain Jr. Sienna played multiple characters throughout the performance, including a Broadway Dancer. She demonstrated fantastic vocal skills through her singing, and excellent dancing – having an integral role in almost every dance scene in the show. It was a great opportunity for Sienna to develop her performance skills, and to work with a cast and crew of talented young performers. If you missed seeing Sienna in Singin’ you can catch her later this year in several JWACS performances including The Not So Mysterious Disappearance of Cinderella, the Year 9 YOH Fest dance performance “Control” and starring as Troy Bolton in High School Musical Jr.
