State Football Championships
Congratulations to our football boys on making it to State championships. We finished 5th on the day and 5th in the State is a great effort, especially when 400 teams/schools entered the State Competition. We were the smallest school represented at the championships; we were one of only 8 schools that made it to State level. In the first game we came up against a much faster team from Our Lady Star Of The Sea who beat us. This team did go on to play in the championship game.
The second game was against our local rivals St Mary's Primary School Echuca. This was a great game and our boy battled hard but again missed out on a victory by a few goals.
In our third and final game against Mont Albert Primary School we came out of the blocks strong kicking a couple of early goals. This put us in a great position for the rest of the game and we came away with a 5-goal win. Again, well done boys it was a fantastic team effort and everyone involved tried their best.

Athletic Sports Day.
Just a reminder On Monday the 29th of August St Luke’s will be holding our annual School Athletics Carnival at the Shepparton Athletics Track, McEwen Reserve Shepparton. Students will be traveling to and from the venue via buses. Students will be leaving school at 9.15am for a 9.30am start at the athletics track and will arrive back at school at 3.00pm. Students are encouraged to wear their house colours and come in appropriate clothing to participate in the athletic events. Parents are welcome to meet us down at the Athletics track and cheer on the students. Students will need to come in comfortable running clothes and shoes, bring a drink bottle, hat and a packed lunch.
