The Defence Work Experience Program
Trish Robins (Year 10) received notification that she has been a successful candidate for The Defence Work Experience Program (DWEP).
Trish will be completing the introduction to Navy Defence Work Experience placement at HMAS Cerberus. Congratulations Trish!
The program gives young Australians interested in a career in #YourADF the opportunity to sample life in Defence, and learn more about the Australian Defence Force.
The following 'Defence Work Experience' is available for girls aged 15 years or older:
- Air Force Women in Aviation Program – RAAF Base East Sale – 2-6 October 2022. Applications close 10.00 pm, Sunday 7 August.
Pathways Information Sessions for PARENTS
VTAC Information Session for Year 12 students
On Friday July 29, an information session was held for all Year 12 students during Period 6’s IPT.
During the session, students were informed about how to complete their VTAC application form for tertiary study and the Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) requirements.
VTAC applications open on Monday August 1.
VTAC Student and Parent Information Webinars
Students, parents, carers and supporters are warmly welcome to book in for VTAC's information webinars.
There will be two types of presentation on offer:
- Applying for courses in 2023 : provides an overview of the entire application process, including researching courses, creating a VTAC account, preferences, results and offers. It also includes an overview of SEAS and scholarships.
- Understanding special consideration (SEAS) and scholarships: provides detailed information about applying for SEAS and scholarships.

ACU Year 12 Revision Webinars
ACU, along with InspirED, have created free online revision webinars to help students prepare for what's to come and to do their best.
These webinars are run by experienced Year 12 assessors and exam markers who will know exactly how to guide your students through this process and help them respond to example exam questions. During each session students will be able to better understand the topics presented and learn some fantastic study tips and tricks too.
And, there will be a live 30-minute Q&A, giving students the chance to have all their questions answered.
