From the Principal

We would like to acknowledge the original custodians of this land

and pay our respects to the Elders past and present and emerging,

for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of Indigenous Australia.

Dear Parents and Carers

School Production:  Alice in Wonderland!

Wednesday 14 September

The School Production is well underway and the classes have all been practising their items which they will proudly share with you on the night.

In preparation for the event, the school wishes to outline a few procedures that will take place on the day.

You will soon receive an invitation to purchase tickets for the Production on Wednesday 14 September starting at 7.00pm. The event will be held at the Glen Eira Town Hall as the St Anthony's Hall will be unavailable. The Production will start at 7.00pm sharp. The children will need to be at the hall by 6.30pm so that they can change into their costumes.

The event is open to all family members. The tickets costs are:  Children under school age are free but will need to sit on an adults lap; for adults and secondary school aged children the cost is $20.00 each, and our performing students are free of course.

On the day of the Production the children will be bused to the Town Hall for the day so that they can rehearse on the stage. They will then be bused back to school  for the normal 3.30pm finish. If you wish to collect your child from the Town Hall you will need to notify the school via an Operoo notice which will be sent out shortly.

Privacy protocols do not allow anyone to record or take photos of the Production so you will not be permitted to do this on the night. If you are seen to be using a device at the concert you will be asked to stop. However, the Production will be professionally recorded and you will be able to purchase a streaming version of the concert for your memories.  The cost for this is $25.00. Order forms will be distributed prior to the event.

The classroom teachers will inform you of any basic items your child will need for their costume that can be brought from home.  We are fortunate that all of the costumes will be supplied by the school as we have a special association with two other schools.

The event provides an opportunity to bring the community together with a common goal of witnessing the great talents and efforts of our children. The staff have worked together to make sure that the production is a memorable one for all.

I would like to acknowledge the fantastic work that Mrs Tracey Birthisel has done in writing the script and coordinating the classes so that the pantomime is enjoyed by all.

If you have any questions or ideas please speak to your child’s teacher or a member of staff.

First Eucharist

Congratulations to our Year 4&5 students who will be receiving the Sacrament of Eucharist for the first tine this Sunday.
