Year 4/5/6
During Term 2, the students in Year 4/5/6 focused on equivalent fractions with the aid of a fraction wall. This helps us to identify other fractions when you add and subtract them especially if you need to simplify.
To take the pressure off thinking up completely new characters, settings and problems for our narratives, we made Chatterboxes with 8 heroes, 8 villains and 16 problems/settings on them.
As part of the Inquiry topic of Change, the students created dioramas that tell the story of an event in Australian History and how it affected Australia or the world. The students had a lot of fun doing this activity.
In an engaging and educational project, our talented Year 4/5/6 students embarked on a thrilling journey to discover and present the lives of famous Australian figures who have significantly impacted our nation's history. Armed with enthusiasm and research skills, they delved into the lives of icons who have shaped Australia. With certain criteria in mind, the students meticulously created presentations that captured the essence of their chosen figures.
Our curious Year 3-6 students embarked on a memorable trip to the Immigration Museum. Immersed in Australia's multicultural history, our young learners delved into the fascinating stories of migrants who journeyed to our shores for various reasons. From tales of hope and resilience to accounts of cultural diversity, students discovered the remarkable contributions made by these brave individuals.
