School Attendance

You will notice your child's attendance information as a part of your child's report.

If you have concerns about the percentage of time your child has been recorded at school, please do not hesitate to contact Jessica or Liz.

Mindfulness

Over the last few weeks, we have introduced regular mindfulness into our day.

Incorporating mindfulness into education has been linked to improving academic and social and emotional learning. Mindfulness also strengthens learning outcomes, wellbeing, and emotional regulation.

Mindfulness time is varied with different processes offered as we learn what each child needs.

Doing - colouring, drawing and yoga

Senses - touch, imagery and guided meditation

All adults across the school take time to be mindful. When students are practicing mindfulness, so are the adults.

We understand that the best implementation of mindfulness involves a teacher having her own mindfulness practice or at least an understanding of it.
