Birds of Kalinda

One of the fabulous and easy way to ground yourself and find a quick moment of mindfulness, is a quick spot of “twitching” – a fancy word for bird watching.

My favourite bird at Kalinda is the welcome swallow (attached, photo credit JJ Harrison). I have also seen corellas, cockatoos and rainbow lorikeets at school. I’d love to know what else you have seen on the grounds….wouldn’t it be special if the students could recognise all the wildlife on campus?

Emily is at Kalinda on Mondays and Thursdays for 2021.
