Pastoral Care Worker News

This is my last Newsletter to all of you, so I thought I would begin by sharing some Christmas Quotes.

“It’s not what’s under the Christmas tree that matters, but who’s around it.” (Charlie Brown)

“At Christmas, all roads lead home.” (Marjorie Holmes)

“Cheers to a New Year and another chance to get it right!” (Oprah Winfrey)

“Christmas will always be, as we stand heart to heart and hand in hand.”  (Dr. Seuss)

“Christmas is a season not only of rejoicing, but of reflection.” (Winston Churchill)

“It’s not how much we give, but how much we put into giving.” (Mother Teresa)

“You can tell a lot about a person by the way they handle 3 things: a rainy day, lost luggage and tangled Christmas lights!.” (Maya Angelou)

Santa Claus has the right idea. Visit people only once a year!” (Victor Borge)

“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. Wishing you happiness.” (Helen Keller)

“God Bless us, every one!” (A Christmas Carol)

“Some Christmas tree ornaments do more than glitter or glow, they represent a gift of love, given a long time ago.” (Tom Baker)

“Christmas is a necessity. There has to be at least one day of the year to remind us that we’re here for something else beside ourselves.” (Eric Severeid)

I have been doing Christmas lunchtime activities with some of our children, including a quick story of the birth of the baby Jesus. The children are all loving our time together and they made some beautiful Angels and did quizzes the first week, and then some amazing Christmas Trees and Baubles last week. This week we are going to make Christmas cards and colour in.

It is a nice end to my stay here at Hackham East Primary and although I am looking forward to retiring, I am also very sad to leave the children and all of the community here. A HUGE "Thanks" to all of you for making my time here so enjoyable.

I wish you all the very best for Christmas and hope you have a wonderful time with family and friends. Let’s hope 2021 is a better year for all of us.

Love and Blessings.

Cherie Love, Pastoral Care Worker
