Clifton Update

You may remember we are sponsoring "Clifton" a rescued Koala who is in the care of Pam and Hartley from Koala Care SA.

We were lucky enough to have a visit recently and a small group of children were chosen  to meet him.

Clifford is doing very well and was at 1kg when he visited. He will continue in care until

he is 4kg and then be released.

We look forward to another visit next year where we hope more students can get the opportunity to personally meet Clifton.

School Holiday Programs

At our recent assembly we had a visit from "Rayleen" from our local Greenacres Library.

She informed us of many activities that are happening at the library over the Christmas break this includes a Monster Reading Challenge for children ages 5-13.

Other activities on offer : Xmas craft making, rocket science, fantasy drawing, kitchen chemistry, Robot building , Ghost tours, monster movie mornings, monsters in nature and much more...all free.

I have also included in the newsletter "The Lights Summer Holiday Program". These sessions are $8 each and include a wide variety of activities designed to keep children amused, active and engaged in the holidays. (Look in community notices)

One Box

This year our school was offered to be in the "One Box" program.

It is an initiative of The Fruit Box Group that provides families in Australia with a free weekly box full of fresh fruit, vegies, milk and bread.

We accepted this offer and were able to offer it to some of our families.

In 2021 we can increase our numbers of families to receive this free box of food. If you are interested please contact me susan.moroney466@schools.sa.edu.au or let the front office know and I will call you to confirm.
