We are very grateful to the staff and teachers at Rochester Secondary College and the way they rose to the challenge of remote and flexible learning. The effort, time and creativity our teachers devoted to our Year 12 students during 2020 was exceptional and our results show that.
Rochester Secondary College is incredibly grateful to the support they receive from the community. During lockdown with the support of the Elmore, Lockington, Rochester Community Bank – Bendigo Bank care packages were delivered to all Year 12 students to check in with them and touch base in extraordinary times. The School Council organised a video of support from former Rochester residents and high profile people including Peter Walsh, Damien Drum, Mark Gepp, Sharelle McMahon, Shane McCurry, Brad McEwan, Shaun Atley, Joe Atley and Alex Rosaia. Businesses from Elmore, Colbinabbin, Lockington and Rochester all displayed posters letting our Year 12 students know that everyone is so very proud of them. These are just some examples of how Rochester Secondary College and the community kept the Year 12 students focused and on track during 2020.
We are very excited for the future of this group of Year 12s, they are such an outstanding group of young adults, they all have incredible journeys ahead.
