Weeden Heights Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Program

As we complete our final kitchen garden sessions for the term, we would like to reflect on the crazy year that was 2020. We have shared so many memories together, online and in person. We have supported one another through what may be one of the hardest years. It has been so wonderful to see you all grow in the program and grow as individuals. I t is such a pleasure to work with you and be a part of this beautiful community that is Weeden Heights Primary School.  Sadly, I, Sarah, will be taking my final class at Weeden this week. I have had the best time!! I couldn’t have imagined how wonderful and welcoming you all are. It has truly been a big year made wonderful by this community.  I am so grateful for my experience here.  I will be sure to take everything I have learned with me moving forward.

We would like to extend a very big thank you to the dedicated families who have cared for the chickens throughout this year.  The chickens have now returned to the farm, thank you to Fiona Phillips for delivering them to Maria from Sunset Valley Chicks.  We will see new chickens at Weeden Heights next year.  Thank you again to all our volunteers and parents for assistance with our program both at school and during remote learning throughout the year.
