From the School Nurse
We are having more students presenting unwell with cold symptoms. This is not only taking them out of the classroom, but it is spreading throughout their peers. We have some important learning to complete in the next four weeks. Proper mask wearing will ensure we are all protected from many more things than COVID, and we do not want to spread illnesses carelessly and, perhaps, needlessly.
Please reiterate to our students the strong directions sent from the school and government:
The importance of social distancing, good hand hygiene, and the wearing of facemasks needs to be stressed.
Mask etiquette needs to be followed: the cloth masks need to be washed daily or the disposable mask needs to be discarded daily.
It is difficult to differentiate COVID-19, hay fever, common colds and other respiratory diseases. Even with a negative result from a COVID-19 test, the student needs to stay home until they are symptom free.

Dress to Impress Fundraiser - 27 November
Dress to Impress fundraiser on 27 November – gold coin donation for childhood cancer
College is supporting the Hamilton Gray Street Primary School ‘Dress to Impress’ community fundraiser on Friday 27 November to honour the lives of three young locals lost to cancer this year.
The Junior School students from ELC to Year 6 (and teachers!) are invited to dress up and add a bit of colour and fun to what has been a challenging year. Please bring along a gold coin donation on the day.
The Senior School will be making a donation from the Social Services budget and we ask students to show their support by donating a gold coin on the day.
Money raised will go towards finding a cure for childhood cancer and supporting organisations that help families of children who are impacted.
This is an incredibly important cause and one that has touched the lives of many local residents this year. Please get involved.
