We really appreciated parents taking the time to attend the Kindy and the Pre-Primary 2021 Information Meetings last week. Special thanks to the staff for preparing for these informative sessions and sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm at the end of a full teaching day.

The last weeks with our students are always special as we prepare to say goodbye and to celebrate the many successes throughout the year. It is a very busy time for staff as they complete the Semester Two reports and finalise their teaching and learning programs for the year.

Amidst the busyness and demands of school life, we continue to stay focused on the students in our care and keep Christ at the centre of all we think, do and say. Special thanks to those parents who make a habit of communicating to and about staff in a positive and respectful manner in front of your children – in this way you are being a wonderful role model. Likewise, when it comes to the new teacher and classmates of your child/ren, please set this up for success by being positive and showing that you believe they are going to enjoy the exciting school year ahead in a new classroom with a new teacher and class mates.

As we now prepare to welcome the Season of Advent, may we all try hard to support the children to appreciate the little things we are ‘gifted’ with each day, and to find the real Christmas message in the small acts of kindness we do for others.  Special thanks to all families who have generously donated food items for our St Vincent de Paul Christmas hampers.

Let’s all continue to support each other and our children in these final weeks of school to be a real ‘gift’ to one another.

Tonight we are gathering for our College Presentation Evening in the St Louis Sports Centre at 7pm. I look forward to seeing many Year 6 Award Recipients and parents at this important community event.   If you are cannot join us tonight, below is the link to the Youtube Livestream of Presentation Night for you to view at home.

Kind regards,

Adventure Day

We were so privileged to be able to experience the great outdoors at the Swan Valley Adventure Centre last Thursday, all the Year 6’s thoroughly enjoyed it! We had the opportunity to participate in numerous team building activities, a commando course and zip lining!

In the team building activities we worked in teams to complete fun challenges directed by guides. Our highlights included completing the commando course, where we got a bit muddy and wet, as well as Miss Hubbard beating Miss Gillen in a race!  In zip lining, we flipped upside down, did trust falls and other tricks.

Sports Update

Year 6 T 20 Cricket Carnival

It was a fantastic day of action-packed cricket on Tuesday.  There were great individual efforts in batting, bowling and fielding and it was wonderful to see the maturity and sportsmanship of our students throughout the day.  Well done!

Swimming lessons

We have had a great week of swimming lessons, helped by the warm weather!  Students have been enthusiastically getting themselves organised for their lessons and trying hard to improve their swimming skills throughout the week.  Tuesday 1 December will be their final lesson.
