Weekly Message

Hello Aspire Centennial,

WELCOME BACK and CONGRATULATIONS on finishing your first official week of school!!

It is truly amazing to see our students back in the building, building rapport with one another, as well as continuing to build the relationships with our team.

Reflecting on this past week, and all the hard work you have put forth to prepare for the return of our 540+ students; I want to share an offering that was given to me by Stefan Bean, Aspire LA Superintendent. He shared that we as educators put a lot of pressure on ourselves and sometimes to much pressure; because we work so hard to provide the BEST experience for our students. Many times, we become laser focused on the mistakes rather than acknowledging all that went into planning for the day. He shared that sometimes we need to give ourselves and our colleagues grace.

I appreciated this reminder, because we need to give ourselves grace. We all are working as hard as we can, based on where we are. So my colleagues and teammates, I encourage you all to give yourselves and your peers grace. We are all growing and learning together.

I appreciate all of you and everything you do and as soaring phoenix that takes off in the sky, we will RISE UP!
