Welcome to our new Year 7 students!

In the last week we have seen our future graduating class of 2025 begin Year 7 at the College. The Year 7 Hub has been really impressed with the settled and respectful start so far. With Year 7 students currently learning to navigate the campus and figuring out what to take to which class, the positivity and resilience they demonstrate has been fantastic.

The transition into secondary college can be a challenging time for students. The Year 7 Hub would like to extend our welcome to students and their families. If parents/carers have questions or feel that your child needs extra supports at school we encourage you to contact the Year 7 Hub.

Our Hub consists of: Lisa Evans (Educational Support), Michelle Ryan and Matt Redenbach (Coordinators), Kelly Turnor (Hub Leader) and Paul Martin (Assistant Principal).

Year 7 Lunchtime Hang out Club

Every Friday lunchtime, Year 7 students meet in W5 to chat, pat Charlie the school dog, play games and do other activities. This is a great opportunity to make friends and have fun! All year 7 students welcome!

Walk and Talk with Charlie the School Dog!

Every Tuesday and Friday at recess, Charlie the school dog takes a walk with School Nurse Sophie Brown to chat with Year 7 students. Anyone who would like to spend recess meeting other students, patting Charlie and walking around the school grounds please meet at the Hub at the start of recess. You are more than welcome to say hello and join the group if you see Charlie around. 

7M Science 

Students in 7M have been doing the 'Blue Bottle Experiment'. Students shake a clear solution of potassium hydroxide, glucose and methylene blue and, as if by magic (actually Science), the solution turns dark blue! The students were amazed that after a minute the solution turns clear ready to shake again.

Year 7 Welcome BBQ Breakfast

On Friday 7th February, Year 7 students and their families enjoyed a delicious breakfast of eggs and bacon at the College. It was a great opportunity for staff and students and their families to meet and chat. We look forward to getting to know everyone new to our College community at many other events held throughout the year.
