INTRODUCTION

Welcome to 2020!

We have had a terrific start to the new school year and it has been lovely meeting you all and getting to know your children.

Thank you to the parents who attended Wednesday night's 'Meet the Team' session. We have sent home some readings for those of you who were not able to attend.

Throughout the year, we will conduct workshops to strengthen the home / school partnership and promote how we approach learning at APS.

The students have been developing their relationships and making connections with each other and their teachers. It is important to establish encouraging relationships, recognise and understand what we envisage of ourselves and each other as learners and, how we can contribute to and promote a positive and respectful classroom culture. We have been sharing our interests, backgrounds and strengths and what we hope to achieve in our learning as well as, posed questions about the year ahead.

We have designed our Classroom Expectations through consultation and set up classroom 'norms.' Students have also had the opportunity to design what they would like their learning space to look like.
