Storytime

Storytime at Deer Park West Primary School
Storytime introduces children to the world of books, encourages a love of reading and stimulates imagination through a variety of different hands-on experiences. This literacy-based social program can help prepare pre-school children for learning by developing their listening, speaking and pre-reading skills as well as improve their fine-motor and social skills.
We will meet weekly on Thursday afternoons. During this time, children and their parents will have the opportunity to play games, read books, sing songs and learn nursery rhymes. They will also participate in some craft activities based on books that will be read aloud to the children by Mrs. McLeod.
If you have a preschool aged child with a sibling at Deer Park West Primary School or if you are planning to enrol your first child at DPWPS to start in 2023, we encourage you to come along and join in the fun!
