Athletics tomorrow
Good luck to all our participants in Year 3 to 6, I hope you have a fantastic athletics day tomorrow. Parents are welcome to watch and if you would like to help, please see Mr. Woods.
As the athletics will be conducted all day, there will be no assembly this Friday.
School Events- Foundation Breakfast, 100 Days of School, and Pyjama Day
It has been so wonderful to see all our students having fun at the different events this term. You can read more about these events and see photos of the students in the Celebrating Student Learning sections' of the Newsletter.
Apart from being fun, these events connect students socially and provide opportunities for them to learn in a different way and focus on causes beyond their own experience and community. Showing care for others is an important part of growing up and contributing to our school and the broader community. Thank you for your donations.
Storytime and Foundation Transition 2023
We have started Storytime for pre-school students. This is the first part of our comprehensive transition program. Mrs. McLeod is looking forward to meeting lots of children and their parents each Thursday at 2:15 in the Chinese room (Room 2).
Please sign in at the office if you wish to attend.
Our full transition program will be conduced for 9 weeks in Term 4. Please ensure you enrol your child as soon as possible.
Respectful School Communities
There is a new policy which outlines the shared roles of parents, carers, and school staff in creating a positive environment for learning. There are also other policies that set out clear standards of behaviours that are specific to school staff and students. When parents/carers and school staff work together as one team, our students do better. Victorian Government schools want to work with parents and carers to achieve this.
The expected standards of behaviours apply to different school settings. This includes at school events, camps, excursions, outdoor activities, online learning, and other places online related to schools.
See attached flyer below for more information.
Leave
Reminder: I will be on leave for the rest of the term and Ms. Scott will be Acting Principal in my absence. Your child’s teacher should always be the first person to talk to about all matters involving your child. For other matters, please contact the office and they will connect you with someone who can help you with your enquiry.
Wishing you all the best, see you in Term 4.
Kindest Regards,
Senka King
