Have your students or job seekers considered a career in the Navy?

We would like to provide you with relevant information to assist in the conversations you may have with your students and job seekers about careers with the Navy. This includes information on priority roles, fast-track opportunities, career pathways, benefits and upcoming events. Navy will consider your student or job seeker's career goals, educational background, and individual requirements and see what opportunities there are for them, and take their experience into consideration to see how this may help with their application.

Fast-Track Career Opportunities

If your students or job seekers are looking to accelerate their career and start training in the next 3-6 months, they could fast-track their application by applying for a priority role. No experience is required, all skills will be gained with paid on-the-job training. For any questions about job roles and life in the Navy please contact navyjobs@dfr.com.au.

Priority Roles

Electronics Technician / Submariner:

Maintain advanced weapons systems, radar systems, surveillance equipment and more, onboard ships or submarines.

Marine Technician / Submariner:

Maintain and operate engineering machinery and systems, ensuring the ships or submarines remain fully operational and mission capable.

Communication Networks Operator / Submariner:

Be the communications link exchanging sensitive

and top-secret information for Navy operations and missions, onboard ships or submarines.

Weapons & Sensors Operator:

Use sensors, radars and combat data systems to provide tactical recommendations about potential threats.
