Girls AFL Gala Regional Final

On Wednesday the 20th of July, us Grade Six girls played Division Gala Day, we had a few grade 5’s to help fill in. We had a pool, it was Blackrock, Parktone and us. We played Parktone first, the score was 8 nil. Then we had to win the next game to go through to the semi finals. We played  Blackrock, the score was 13 nil. 

After that we made it to semi finals vs St Patrick's it was a tight game all the way to the end and at full time it was neck and neck with a top score of 1 then we went into overtime and it was headed right towards our forward then we kicked the ball and a girl from St Patrick's called Serena marked the ball and booted it to her forward line and they scored a point then it went back to our forward line and Lily scored another point, the ball was headed right toward their forward and they scored a point leaving us coming second best to a point.

Highlights:

Our mid was gold with Liv and Leila in ruck, Abbey and Tilly in mid and Basher and Ruby on wing.

Leila was in ruck she tapped it to Ruby, Ruby handballed to Abbey and Abbey scores the winning goal.

Basher with an awesome smother and great tackling throughout the day.

Sienna with great pick ups send the ball towards forwards.

Ava laid a great tackle getting us a free kick.

Singing on the bus was a highlight of the day.

Let it go and material girl was so terrible it was funny.
