All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

Good afternoon families 

 

I hope you have all had a good week and those who have be sick are now on the recovery path. Thank you for your support today for Beanies for brain cancer, what a great day to wear a beanie.

The Administration office and leadership spaces have been demolished. The demolition is scheduled to finish at the end of next week.

I have shared with you some images of what the new admin building will look like on completion. The completion date is 23/1/2023.

Confirmation

Yesterday we had Bishop Tony Ireland visit our Yr 6 students. The Bishop spoke to the students about their saints, football teams and hobbies. Please remember to  pray for our Yr 6 students, as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation next Tuesday or Wednesday night. 

 

PFA meeting 

Father's day breakfast Friday 2 Sept at 7.30 am

November 19 November - Parent social night at Lydford & Co in Mentone 

PFA will pay for the installation of power and split system unit electricity to the tram. 

 

Working bee 10 Sept 

 You are all invited to attend our next working bee on Saturday 10 Sept 9am- 12 pm 

 

Sports top and polo tops.

New sports tops and polo shirts are available in the uniform shop. The new tops will be compulsory as part of the St Louis uniform from the start of 2024 school year. I have included a photo of the tops. The sports tops are $43. The short sleeve polo tops are $36 and the long sleeve polo $38.

 

 

Tuck shop update

 We have employed Hungry Hampers to run our canteen. Hungry Hampers are a franchise and have found a person to run the St Louis' canteen. At this point in time the canteen is due to open in Term 4.

 

Special lunch Days 

 8 August- Parish Feast Day- Mary of the Cross - sushi lunch

12 September Footy Day - pies and hot dogs 

 

Learning Conferences 

On Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 September we will be holding Learning Conferences.

This will be a conversation between teacher, family and student. 

Tuesday 13 September is 3.30pm -5.30pm  

Wednesday 1.30pm -7.30pm.

Students finish at 1 pm on Wednesday 14 September. Information about booking times will be released later in the term.
