Community News

Dear Friends,

We are pleased to announce that our 5th Annual Community Festival and Market will be held this October 23rd, following a 3 year break due to Covid.

We are inviting you to be part of this day in one (or more) of a number of ways:

·       You may wish to operate your own stall on the day or community display. Market stall sites are available at $35 per site and community stalls at $15 (for display or not-for-profit fundraising). Please go to: https://events.humanitix.com/lions-community-festival-and-market-2022 for full details and the booking procedure.

·       Our centre stage performance schedule is filling fast, but you may wish to be part of this community performance approach. We are seeking representatives from across the community, both culturally and artistically, to be part of the action! Please see further details on the attached form below and complete ands return the form to be considered for the program.

·

We are seeking any financial support to allow us to fully raise funds with our activities on the day – all in aid of a worthy cause to be announced soon as well as our local projects. We particularly need sponsorship towards our centre stage and assistance to cover permit requirements such as the hiring of a traffic controller for the day

·       You may wish to donate some goods for our giant raffle on the day – please let me know of any pick up requirements.

·       We also seek volunteers for the actual day, to assist with a range of tasks that ensure the day goes smoothly. Your commitment would be attendance at a briefing meeting for about 1 hour in the week leading up and a couple of hours on the day helping out with tasks

And, of course, we would love to see you on the day, supporting our stallholders, community displays and performers So get behind us if you can and help out. All profits from the day, as stated, will go to a very worthy cause, to be announced soon, as well as assisting us with local projects such as a Community Garden for Taylors Lakes.

If you have any questions about the day, how you can help or any finer details, please don’t hesitate to make contact.
