The Potato Games

On Wednesday 10 August the Year 1 students (and their potatoes) competed in the 2022 Potato Games. This was a fun-filled and action packed day! Each student created their competing athlete using their potato and all classes rotated through a variety of events that reflected some of the sports represented in the Commonwealth Games. These events included diving, rhythmic gymnastics, hockey and marathon running, just to name a few! It was so much fun!

Fairy Tale Fiasco!

On Monday 22 August our Year 1 students participated in the Drama Toolbox’s Fairy Tale Fiasco incursion. On this very exciting day, students had the opportunity to dress up as their favourite fairy tale characters and immerse themselves in some dramatic Fairy Tale stories. As witches, wizards, dragons and many more fascinating characters, this incursion was an engaging, hands on learning experience for the students to explore their integrated theme for this term.
