NETBALL 

This week has seen the Netball Program take a step into a different aspect of the game. Players have completed an introduction to umpiring course over the past 2 weeks run by Netball Victoria. From improving their knowledge and understanding of rules and the broad role of an umpire to learning how to officiate a match. It's fair to say they all have a new respect for how challenging the role can be in seeing interpreting and calling a game let alone the physical demand. Players will be able to move onto further umpiring levels and officiating in junior matches which is great. 

It has been great to see not only their knowledge increase but their confidence as they learn presence in this new role.

The coming week will see the players undertake an introduction to coaching course which will be exciting and allow then to confident coach at junior level in future. These two areas form part of their learning tasks. 

Well done girls on your great attitude and approach to these new aspects of netball it's been a great couple of weeks!! 

BASKETBALL 

Congratulations to Tenielle Knight who was selected to represent Victoria at the Australian U20 National Championships which will be held in Geelong Feb 14 - 19th. We are extremely proud of all that you have achieved, congratulations on your selection and we can’t wait to come and watch you play!
