YEAR 7-9 NEWS

ADVENTURE PARK 

A reminder to all students and families Years 7-9 that notification of attendance and payment must be made by December 1st. We cannot accept payments for the excursion after this date.

YEAR 7 

YEAR 7 SCIENCE 

Year 7 students have been studying space this term. They learned about the phases of the moon with a moon oreos prac (yum), and worked in teams to build and launch water rockets.

YEAR 8

YEAR 8 SCEINCE 

Students in Year 8 finished the acids and bases unit by making purple cabbage indicator and testing a range of household products.

YEAR 9 

YEAR 9 SCIENCE 

This term, year 9 students have been learning to build electrical circuits and code Arduinos. They began by coding a single LED to blink. Projects used components such as distance sensors, speakers and LCDs. 

Some of the later projects included a “Simon” game, a “DIY Who am I?” game and an autonomous robot.
