THS Sport Academy

Sports Academy 

The sports academy students have put their hard training work into action recently with a range of different matches against other schools. The matches for each academy sport have included:

Soccer

Our girls and boys teams participated in the prestigious Bill Turner Cup played in Keilor.

The event was a round robin format played against quality opposition.

The teams played games against Keilor Downs, Overnewton and Taylors Lakes.

Basketball

The three basketball academy teams hosted matches against Coburg High School.

All three games were very close results. These were the first games our new basketball academy teams have been able to play, with more planned to come.

Football

The girls and boys football teams played matches against Diamond Valley College.

The games were played at Coventry Oval in Diamond Creek. Diamond Valley proved too strong in both of the games, but it was great to compete against a well established football academy program.

Well done to our committed sports academy students who have been training three times a week. Keep up the great work.
