BOOK FAIR EVENT from 25th - 29th July 2022
It's here, it’s up and running and we are having a great time exploring the shelves full of new books.
I love watching the excitement on the children’s faces when they walk into the library and see all the beautiful books that have arrived for our book fair, and then the joy they get from choosing a book and knowing it is theirs to keep.
Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings a variety of books the children will want to read right into our schools. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level.
This year the book fair will be run very similar to last year. With flu and Covid-19 still very much in our community we ask that parents only come to school if they feel they would like to view the books before they are purchased, these times will be each day after school from 3.15 to 4.00pm.
During each library lesson the children will get a chance to look through the book fair and choose their favourite books. Grade foundation and grade one will be assisted by buddies in grade 5 and 6. After finding their favourites, the children will fill out their wish list. This wish list will then go home so the children can talk with their parents about the books they may be able to purchase. Parents can then make payments on our Scholastic BOOK FAIR (not Book Club) online site following instructions on the back of the wish list or Fair invite brochure. (Also see instructions below) You will need to insert your receipt number and the name of the books you have paid for and then return the slip to School, the children will then collect their chosen books from the Fair. Children may also bring cash to school to pay for their books or eftpos is available at the front desk.
Instructions for paying online - Parents
1Click on the online payment portal

2. Enter State and School (Sacred Heart School) and open
3. It is the correct school if you see Book Fair Number ‘7020038’ on the right
4. Enter the details and ‘Make Payment’ to be directed to the secure payment page
5. Record the first 6 digits of Receipt # on the Wishlist or print Receipt
6. Bring Wishlist and Receipt # back to the school to collect books
Previews/Payments
· Preview with students one class at time.
· Students complete a wish list and take them home.
· Parents decide what they would like to purchase, pay by Credit Card online and note the receipt number and name of their book on the Wish list. Cash or eftpos options (at school office) are also available.
· Child returns to school with completed wish list to collect book (or a reorder is placed if stock is sold. Posters can not be reordered, if these have been prepaid the money will be refunded or another item to the same value may be chosen).
