Year 6 Excursion

Our Year 6 students enjoyed an amazing day of STEM-filled curiosity and excitement at the Albert Park Formula 1 Education Hub yesterday. Students enjoyed explored racing equipment, changing tyres, trying out Virtual Reality simulations, learning CPR, computer programming and whole lot more.

Students were all very excited and had a great range of experiences, with something for everyone on the day (and a lot of swag to bring home).

Special congratulations go to our design team: Lachie, Hamish, Liam and Harry. The group rehearsed their pitch for a sustainable race car at assembly last week and did an amazing job. They incorporated a large number of advanced ideas in their design and spoke maturely and with clarity. Yesterday, they performed this pitch in front of the judging panel and won the competition! Their prize was a super special, priceless VIP pass behind the scenes at the Grand Prix that never was. Some of the photos of their special tour can be seen in the gallery included here.

A massive thank you to the parents who assisted on the excursion, it always makes the day a lot easier, more manageable and enjoyable.
