Student Lost Property

As we head into the colder weather, we find more students are looking for lost uniform items.  To assist staff with returning items that may have been left behind in class, we advise families to ensure the student name has been written on the tag so we may return them to the rightful owner.  Any items that are found without a name will be kept for 2 weeks and will then be donated.

Local Police Seeking Feedback

The police are an important organisation in our community that often assist us with experiences to educate the young people of our school, and act to protect and keep us safe on a daily basis.

Currently our local police are seeking feedback from the community to help them understand your perspectives on aspects of safety in the Surf Coast area.

We have an opportunity to influence Surf Coast Policing and Community Safety through the completion of a two minute Community Sentiment survey, CLICK HERE to complete.

Barwon Heads Road Upgrade - 6-Week Construction Blitz

The Barwon Heads Road Upgrade communications team would like to provide you with some information about the Barwon Heads Road Upgrade, particularly the upcoming 6-week construction blitz from 27 May – 11 July. These closures will allow for complex works to be carried out quickly and safely, reducing the need for prolonged, confusing disruptions.

We hope you can share this information with your staff, students and families to help them plan their journey to and from your school during this time as we anticipate traffic delays of up to 20 minutes during peak times.

The 6-week construction blitz includes two components:

Friday 27 May – Friday 17 June – Northbound lane closure

The northbound lane (towards Geelong) will be closed on Barwon Heads Road between Breakwater Road and Settlement Roadfor three (3) weeks while new lanes and a new retaining wall are built.

The southbound lane (toward Barwon Heads) will remain open.

A detour will be in place via Settlement Road and Breakwater Road and the right turn from Settlement Road to Barwon Heads Road will be reopened.

Please see Northbound lane closure – 27 May map for more information.

Friday 17 June – Monday 11 July – Breakwater Road intersection closure

The Barwon Heads Road/Breakwater Road intersection will be closed to all traffic for three (3) weeks while we work 24/7 to upgrade the intersection, including raising the road by approximately 900mm.

All lanes on Barwon Heads Road between Settlement Road and Breakwater Road will be closed during this time, however, a left and right turn movement will be available between the Breakwater bridge and Barwon Heads Road.

Detours will be in place via Marshalltown Road, Surf Coast Highway, McKillop Street, Fyans Street and Boundary Road.

Please see Breakwater Road intersection closure – 17 June map for more information
