We celebrated a special Saturday event in the Hub
Hello everyone,
Last weekend the hub celebrated Mother’s day on Saturday the 7th of May. One of our hub volunteers, Asime, shared her crochet skills.
Jillian from Our Patch before and aftercare helped make cupcakes and truffles and helped me decorate the table. Thanks, heaps to both of them. We did a Zumba workout in the end and had lots of fun. This is a great opportunity for parents who work during weekdays to meet the hub le, get to know the current hub prog, and learn more about before and after school care programs.
Dina’s Terrarium garden:
Dina, one of our school parents, showed us how to make a terrarium garden. Thank you so much, Dina, for sharing your skills with us. Dina sells crystal terrariums. Please check her details on our Holy Family Community Hub Facebook if anyone is interested.
Sewing
Our hub families enjoyed making tote bags and little pouches. They have learned to alter their clothes as well. Thanks to Maureen, who shared her sewing skills with us.
Playgroup
Parents and children were exploring various activities at the hub. One of our playgroup parents made a cake, and we made a DIY terrarium with Dina. Ashley loved patting Daisy; our school dog and our parents read books to the group.
