STRATEGIC INITIATIVES

Earlier this week I spent time in Melbourne meeting with eight other Loreto Principals. This weekend I host a similar gathering of Principals from Jesuit schools from around the country. During the visit we will be celebrating Mass in our College Chapel at 4:30pm on Sunday and members of the College community are very welcome to join us for this celebration. The Senior Small Ensemble Soiree commences at 5:30pm in the Gonzaga Barry Lecture Theatre which will also be a lovely way to finish the weekend.

This week our senior staff have been briefed by the consultancy group that conducted our recent survey of students, staffs and parents. Much of the information gleaned through the survey is very affirming. However, there is certainly a thorough critique of all our operations and areas that will require specific focus and attention in the weeks to come. We won't shy away from confronting identified challenges.

I was particularly interested in some of the feedback with respect to proposed strategic initiatives.

Our staff (158 respondents) identified the following as important future initiatives, the percentage indicates the amount of support given.

We also had excellent parent engagement with 575 parents ranking the following as important initiatives:

Other ideas received support but these were the strategic ideas that received over 80% endorsement. It certainly is invaluable data for our current Master Planning process.

Father's Day Mass

All Dads are welcome to attend Mass dedicated to Fathers on Friday 1 September at 7:30am in the College Chapel. Muffins and Tea/Coffee will be served in the Thomas More Exhibition Centre after Mass. To assist with catering please advise of your attendance via mcgann.tracey@johnxxiii.edu.au

Together, let us seek justice.

Yours sincerely
