Soft Plastics Recycling

On Friday 8th March, 3S put on the Pollution Patrollers costumes and set out to collect the soft plastics around the school. Each class will participate in this initiative at least once this year to develop our students awareness of how much plastic our community produces - even when we are adopting our Take In, Take Out policy.

All students enthusiastically took to this task; working interdependently while they visited classrooms and the administration building, emptying every white soft plastics bin on our expedition. 

Afterwards we discussed our observations and recommendations as students have shared here. 

A big thank you to Rivini, Matilda and Toby’s families for taking 5 large bags of plastics to Woolworths for recycling!
