International Women's Day

Our Hospitality students recently catered for Uralla’s celebration of International Woman’s Day.  The students received wonderful reviews and many guests  complimented our students on their personal presentation, the quality of their food and service they provided.

This was the class' first large scale catering activity where they were required to plan the catering, which included deciding on menu items to meet their customers dietary requirements, creating the shopping list and physical menu and manage time to ensure we were ready for our guests.

Senior students, Matt Jones and Lucy Neary, entertained our guests with acoustic covers as well as their own compositions. 

Between the courses Mrs Sharon Kirk spoke about her life and the challenges she has faced.

Our main menu included: Thai rice salad, garden salad, roast pumpkin salad, potato salad, pasta salad, pumpkin & zucchini slice, ham off bone, cold roast chicken and a variety of bread buns.

For dessert, we served eclairs, gluten free apple slice, meringue, panna cotta, vanilla cheesecake, fruit salad, ice cream and sorbet.
