Languages Week

Guten tag, Nihao!

Language Week aims to raise awareness and to value the language diversity in WA society… and of course here at St Norbert College!

There are many benefits of learning another language, as well as preserving the language of origin of one’s own family. Many students do not know this language, so hopefully this week has served to stimulate interest and curiosity in discovering the languages spoken at home or by grandparents.

To celebrate Languages Week, we organised a daily Homeroom quiz, a Gelato cart selling Italian gelato to students, pizza at lunchtime for students of Italian and also games of “Bocce” (rain permitting!).
