Sub School News

A new semester is upon us giving students an opportunity to continue to build upon their starts to respective year levels or make changes to their work ethic and school performance.

Congratulations to all students in the relevant sub schools recognised for their participation and performance in sporting events across the first semester. It is great to have so many students represent the college with such excellence and see them receive certificates during a whole school assembly this week.

Year 10 and 11 VCE students completed mid-year exams very well. All students are to be commended on their behaviour and effort. It is hoped that the exam period was a valuable experience for all involved as they move towards their Year 12 exams either next year or in 2021.

Year 10 students are currently out on work experience.

We hope students find this to be a valuable experience as they start to decide what career pathway they would like to take later in life. As always, we are sure they will represent the school with pride and integrity.

Year 12 VCE students completed the GAT Exam also last week. A state-wide exam designed to act as a safety net for any student who encounters problems during the Year 12 exams at the end of the year.

Our Year 12 students are also eagerly awaiting their formal this Thursday evening. We hope all students have a wonderful evening celebrating the final years with their peers as their schooling draws to a close.

As the weather gets colder a reminder that School Uniform is required and hooded jumpers are not to be worn at any time.

As always attendance is key to good schooling performance and making the most of the educational opportunities afforded to students by the college. Research shows that to make a years’ growth in education in 2019, students need to attend 95% of classes.

Good luck to all during Second Semester.
