Senior Drama Club

Youthfest triumph

'Love Is' production conquers all

Last Saturday, the Senior Drama Club competed in the annual one-act theatre festival for young people, called “Youthfest”. The students performed at the Marloo Theatre in Darlington as part of the two-day event that featured more than 200 students in 11 plays.

The adjudicator was very impressed with the St Norbert College production and our performers. He loved the soundtrack, felt that all the actors performed with integrity and with sincerity, and thought their voice projection was excellent. He said he really enjoyed the way the production was put together.

The Senior Drama Club scooped the pool at the awards ceremony with the following:

Mary Carter was awarded an adjudicator's certificate for “an excellent performance”

Aidin Fenwick was awarded best actor in the festival.

Rebecca Attwood and Brodie Christie both were awarded the best actress in the festival (the adjudicator couldn’t split the performances and decided they should both win).

Miss Hilton was awarded the Best Director in the festival.

The show was also awarded the Ann Hill Trophy for the best production in the festival.
