As Term 3 draws to a close, Year 12 students begin to realise that their Class of 2021 Graduation is only a few weeks away. For some this will bring feelings of excitement, for other a sense of loss, but for all students it is the start of an exciting journey into the adult world. The final day of Year 12 classes on Wednesday reflected this mixture of both smiles and tears as a result of the departure.
Year 12 Graduation takes place on Friday, 22 October (Week 4.2) commencing with the traditional Year 12 breakfast and ending with the Graduation Mass and Ceremony later that night. In the lead up to the day, it is important for students to plan for the many different activities that comprise the graduation process. Some important details for students and families to remember are:
Mr P Hawke
(Deputy Principal - Years 8, 10, 12)
Thank you and well done to our Year 11 Students who applied for Student Leadership Roles for 2022. The standard of the applications was excellent and through the interview process, it was a great opportunity to get to know more about each student. It was pleasing to hear of the students’ enthusiasm and passionate commitment to St Norbert College to create a better place for the future generations of students to come.
On Monday, a celebratory morning tea was organised by Mrs Leon Rogers for the appointed Student Leaders for 2022, where students were congratulated. They were also informed that they have responsibilities commencing the start of next term. Students will be sent a letterwith upcoming events for them to lead at the end of this term.
I would also like to express a special thank you to Mrs Leon Rogers who coordinated the whole student leadership interview and selection process in addition to her normal duties as Head of Tongerlo House. Thank you also to Ms Margaret Kyd, Miss Maureen Smith, Mr Chad Beins, Mrs Lisa Quartermain, Mr Ryan Godfrey, Mr Aaron D’Souza, Mr Brendan McGrath, Mr Patrick Ah Fong and Mrs Lyndsey Cardenia who invested considerable time and effort in the interview process.

Year 7-11 and all Year 12 ATAR students commence Term 4 in FULL SUMMER UNIFORM on Monday 11 October 2021. Year 12 Vocational Pathway students return on Friday 15 October 2021 at 8:45am.
Please check summer uniforms in advance, during the school holidays to ensure any items needing to be replaced are done so before school commences.
Uniform Shop holiday opening times are published at the end of the newsletter and on the College website.
All students are expected to return to the College with haircuts, jewellery and personal presentation standards in line with the College expectations. Students should not be getting piercings or haircuts that do not conform to the College regulations. In recent times there have been several students who have presented with haircuts that are too short (less that #2) or the contrast between lengths are too extreme – both of these contravene the College’s standards. Students should take the opportunity over the holiday break to ensure they are completely compliant with the Uniform and Personal Presentation Expectations as outlined in the Student Diary (Pages 12 -16).
The Term 4 Family Calendar will be uploaded onto SEQTA at the end of Term 3.
Miss Carrol Abel
(Deputy Principal - Years 7, 9, 11)
