Promoting the welfare of, and providing support to, the SMPS community...
The SMPS Family & Friends group would like to thank the following people for their kindness, assistance and generosity in 2021.
๐ To Miss Jess. Thank you for supporting the FAF in 2021. Your time and guidance is so valuable and very much appreciated. ย
๐ To Miss Tess. Thank you for your help and support with the FAF's finances. Without your hard work, time and efforts we wouldn't be able to keep a track on how much money we've raised. Your guidance and support are greatly appreciated.ย
๐ To Miss Emma and Miss Kirsty. You've come to feel like family! We have spent so much time working with you as we managed the SHUS for our SMPS community.Thank you for all the hours of hard work and support. We couldn't have raised so much money this year without your support taking payments for the SHUS and printing flyers and raffle tickets.
๐ To Mr Noel and all the SMPS staff who every day, in so many ways, enrich the lives of our SMPS children in ways that will last forever. Thank you for everything you do. Your efforts do not go unnoticed and everything you do is greatly appreciated by the SMPS community. Thank you for performing to an exceptional level during the COVID lockdown.ย

๐ To all the families and friends who supported SMPS by:
๐ And last but certainly not least, thank you to everyone in our community who volunteered to be a part of the FAF group this year. I, Georgie, (current FAF President), am grateful for the time you have dedicated to our meetings, running the SHUS, and arranging the Easter raffle, along with your assistance and support. These things wouldn't be possible without you! I look forward to seeing what the FAF achieves next year. Thank you Datta, Niharika, Doug, Rashmi, Vanessa, Ange, Jacqueline, and our community member, Sim.
There will be an opportunity to search through the lost property during the last week of school in 2021.
ย
Next week: Monday 13/12 to Thursday 16/12, between 3:15pm - 3:45pm, Doug, one of the FAF members, will supervise the lost property trolleys on the forecourt in front of the STEAM room.ย
If your child has any โname-labelledโ lost property outstanding, you are permitted to enter the school grounds to check the trolleys for it.ย
Please wear a face mask and maintain social distancing when visiting the lost property trolleys.
๐ผ Please join us after school finishes on Friday 17 December, (the last day of school for 2021), for a gathering at the Coot picnic area, Albert Park, from 1.30pm.
๐ธ Bring some lunch/snacks and enjoy a chat while the kids play.ย
โ๏ธThis is not an official school event. South Melbourne Primary School are not affiliated with this gathering. The gathering is for community members to spend time with one another. There will be no staff members present. Parents and carers are required to take full responsibility for their child/children.
ย
๐ If you are considering joining the FAF in 2022, you will require a WWCC (Working With Children Check). There isn't a fee for a volunteer's WWCC, so apply for now and you can be more involved with SMPS's activities!
We are expecting to be able to open the SHUS, (Second Hand Uniform Shop), again next year. Keep an eye out on notifications in the newsletters.
