Your child's Semester 2 Reports and Term 4 Student Dashboards will be published via Compass on Tuesday. Please keep an eye out for them and contact your teacher promptly if you have any trouble accessing them.

Are You Leaving SMPS?

If you are intending to leave SMPS due to graduating, moving house or overseas travel, we are sorry to lose you from our community. To ensure a smooth transition for your child's education, please let us know as soon as possible by calling the school office on 9935 9399. We would also really appreciate if you would be able to give your child's uniform to the school. These are then used in sickbay when accidents occur or are donated to the Second Hand Uniform Shop. We accept all items of the school uniform, including:

• Summer uniform - dresses, shorts, shirts
• Winter uniform - tunics, long-sleeved shirts, pants
• Sports uniform - polo top, trackpants, shorts
• Jackets - bomber jacket, coats
• Hats - school hat, beanie
• Shoes - black and polishable
• Schoolbag

If your child is donating their entire school uniform, we ask that they do this on the last day of term. They can wear appropriate casual clothes for the last day - only if they are donating their uniform and have no uniform left to wear. If donating individual pieces, this can be done at any time during the week. Please send them in a bag to the office. We thank you for your help.

2022 Parent Payments

Dear Families, Our 2022 Parent Payment Arrangements are now live on Compass for payment. A massive thank you to our wonderful School Council for all their input and support in the Arrangements for next year. 

This year, the School Fees may look a little different as we are using a new billing module in Compass but we've heard nothing but great feedback so far. I have attached the Billing Module Parent Guide for guidance.

Some of the features include: 

• Automatic receipts
• Events and school contributions all in the same place
• You can chip away at your fees, whenever suits you, and view a running total of what's been paid and still outstanding
• Pay fees in full or with set instalments 
• Click the 'my payments' link to access your payment history

Please read our parent newsletter published on November 27 to read our ideas for the Building and Library Fund donations in 2022. Don't hesitate to contact the Business Manager, Tess Duerden via tess.duerden@southmelbourneps.vic.edu.au to organise a further breakdown of fees. Thank you.

Student Devices

We are also thrilled to announce that the Student Device Program will now cover all students in Prep to Grade 6. This means that the Bring Your Own Device Program has been completely phased out and we can 100% guarantee that every child will have a device in their hands ready for learning in 2022. We can see through our data reports the benefits to each child having access to a device and we would love for your support in the program by contributing to the device levies. 

IMPORTANT: Due to global shortages on device supplies, the school will be using a mixture of new and recycled stock in our 2022 School-owned Device Program rollout. As an incentive to encourage our families to pay device fees early and assist the school in financing our program, we will be issuing brand new laptops to families who pay the device program fee first. Stocks are limited and recycled devices will be rolled out once all new stock is exhausted. Families who pay on or before Friday 10th December will receive their device in the last week of Term 4. Students who receive their device will be able to use it at home over the summer holidays and be ready for learning day 1 of the 2022 school year.
