BAYSIDE ART EXHIBITION

2021 YOUNG PEOPLE OF BAYSIDE ART EXHIBITION

We are very pleased to announce we have a winner for the second year running in the Young People of Bayside Art Exhibition, this year it is Lola Poore, who was runner up in her age category with a beautiful piece of digital art titled, I see the light for a moment. Lola created the artwork in her Year 10 Digital Art elective earlier this year. Taking a generic, general use photo from the Internet she used Adobe Photoshop to create a magical image creating emotion and wonderment on the children’s faces as they are drawn to the light and the luminous butterflies. It is a very clever use of technique as Lola did not alter the expression on the children’s faces, she has achieved the effect she created purely by the use of light and reflection, and the addition of the butterflies.

She wrote in her Brief: The idea of highlighting the beauty of the world around us, which we forget about in our day to day life. The moment of taking the time to look upon the world and focusing on the natural beauty, which is shown in our world!

Congratulations Lola on your win, and on creating a beautiful image with a magical, fantasy theme.
