Room 9

Room 9 have loved all being back together again in the classroom! We had a spooky start to being back in school as we celebrated Halloween by decorating our classroom and Trick or Treating in the Primary Sub School corridor. We have enjoyed starting to learn about our new Literacy topic, ‘What’s in the News?’ and look forward to catching up on Newsround’s ‘Strange News’ and ‘Happy News’ each Monday. We loved getting messy when exploring ‘Changes of State’ in our Science topic. Science investigations are one of our favourite lessons so luckily we have lots more to come this term. During Remote and Flexible Learning, we had a great time on our weekly Dance incursion. Although we loved being able to do our dance from home… getting to perform the final dance together in class was truly magical! Room 9 can’t wait to see what the remainder of the Term brings!

Term 4 Week 6

Coming to school dressed in our pyjamas was definitely a highlight for our week. Students who didn’t dress in pyjamas also had a great day. It definitely put a smile on everyone’s face to be a bit silly for a day! We paraded in our pyjamas, designed some pyjamas through colouring in and talked about the different types of clothes we wear.

The week prior, we had Halloween dress up day. Students and staff dressed in some all types of costumes. We had spidermen, ghosts, butterflies, skeletons, pirates, princesses and many more entertaining characters. There were prizes for the best classroom decorations on classroom doors and windows. Students were awarded a small treat and a class certificate for their efforts. The Primary corridor is abundant with decorations!

These special days have enabled students to reconnect with others at school in a fun and engaging way.
