Years 3/4

It has been an awesome start to the 2022 school year. The Year 3/4 students were all super excited to get back into the swing of things and we have been having a blast. 

On our first day we spoke lots about what type of culture we want here in the 3/4 classroom. All students had many suggestions and we decided on our top 10 - values which we all agreed on. We each wrote down and decorated a different value and these are now proudly on display in our classroom. 

We have been reading some really funny (and very silly) short stories by Andy Griffiths this week that have made all of us roar with laughter. We are nearly finished the whole book already because we have been so keen to keep reading. 

We wrote recounts about our Summer Holidays and explored how to properly structure a recount. We have also been learning about nouns and the difference between common nouns and proper nouns. 

In Maths, we have been playing lots of different games to help us learn about place value and multiplication.
