Mountain Biking Programs

Head for the Hills has a range of Mountain Bike programs commencing soon, including an After School Skills Program just for girls. They also have their popular Holiday Geocache Adventure, Holiday Skills Clinics and After School Skills as per usual. These programs focus on the key skills of mountain biking and will develop the students:

• Bike handling and balance

• Control and trail reading

• Technique (discipline independent)

Students will also learn about the non-practical aspects of mountain biking, including:

• Trail etiquette for shared-use networks

• Risk assessment and management skills

• Knowledge of participation opportunities

Support for Fathers

Support for Fathers is a national project providing dads and father-figures with options and information about fatherhood, the relationship with their partner and connecting with their kids. We enable workplaces and organisations to engage and work with dads and families more effectively and support them through fatherhood.

Australian wide anxiety treatment study for 7 – 12 year old children

You are invited to participate in a nationwide study funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council that will determine how well a computer-delivered treatment designed to help children control their attention improves and reduces children’s anxiety compared to another computer-delivered treatment based on cognitive-behavioural therapy.

The team at Griffith University may be able to assist you. They are conducting a nationwide study that includes services at no cost to families.
