From the Principal

Our Vision

Each child has a gift or talent. It is our job to find it and to show it to them.

Our Mission

Identify the talent, develop the confidence and create the leader.

What do we live for, if it is not to make life less difficult for each other?

Dear Parents & Carers,

School leadership speeches

On Thursday 17th February twelve Year 6 students presented speeches to the Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 children about why they would make a great school leader at Le Page. Each person presented their ideas in both a convincing and passionate way. Although some students commented they were nervous, their confidence shone through. All the staff and students were proud of their efforts. Congratulations to all who presented a magnificent speech.

School leaders

After students presented their speeches last Thursday, I had the enviable task of notifying students about their leadership positions for 2022. I was impressed with the resilience and support all the students offered each other during the announcements. I am looking forward to working closely with the school leaders as they make our school an even better place for all children.

Below are our school leaders for this year:

School Captains – Alana and Mitch
Vice Captains – Gaby and Harry
House Captains
Barty (yellow) – Tara Tilly and Christian
Alcott (blue) – Charlie and Aydan
Mills (red) – Sophie and Leeroy
Fox (green) – Reeve and Levi

Badge presentation assembly

Next Friday the 4th of March we will be holding our badge presentation at assembly. This assembly will begin at 3:00pm sharp on the lower basketball court.

Class representatives

Anyone wanting to be a class representative for their child’s class please contact the teacher via Compass. We are still requiring representatives for 12C, 34A, 34B, 34C and 56A.

Communication with teachers

If you require a meeting with your child’s teacher, please email them via Compass to arrange a suitable time for everyone. Staff are required at meetings both before and after school so are not always available every day. We appreciate your support with this.

Working Bee

On Wednesday March 23rd from 4:00-5:30 we will be holding our first working bee for the year. If you are able to volunteer some of your time to support please email the school at le.page.ps@education.vic.gov.au

Homework

To support your child’s learning we recommend they complete daily reading, spelling and mathematics tasks. It is also important to sharpen the saw and complete activities of interest and engage in physical activity regularly. If required, our homework policy is available upon request from the office.
