SMC Live

To finish off a busy term, the Combined Saints Colleges String Ensemble opened the evening for St Monica’s annual Awards Night – SMC Live. The String Ensemble performed on stage as the audience entered the theatre. Later, they combined with the Saints and St Monica’s choirs to perform Shackleton. It was a wonderful way to finish the term.

Drama Night

On Wednesday evening, our drama students from Years 9 to 12 performed a wide variety of scenes from Monty Python through to Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot.  The students moved seamlessly through the show presenting comedy through to thought- provoking scenes. Well done to the students and teachers involved.

Communication

Much of our communication with students is via Teams, email and copied into parent slips. Please encourage your son to check these regularly so he stays abreast of what is happening, particularly given we’ve had some very last minutes changes lately due to injury and illness. Your son is  also expected to communicate absences due to illness or injury with the director of any ensembles he's a part of and his instrumental music teacher, as the student office does not communicate this with them.

There are many avenues for parental communication – parent slips, the Arts Department Facebook page, college newsletter and email. Please check these regularly so you can stay abreast of what is happening across the College in the arts.

Upcoming Events

Please see the table below for scheduled events.
