Learning at home

Congratulations!

Well done to all the Mums and Dads and carers who were at home with their children this past week.  You've done a great job helping your children get on with their learning.  It hasn't been easy and no doubt there have been a few missteps along the way, but you've stuck at it.  So, thank you.  Your commitment to your child's learning is admirable and we are very grateful for the way so many of you have worked in unison with our staff at school.

Need some help?

Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you're having problems with learning at home.  Whether that be confusion over what your child should be doing or when they should be doing it, problems with IT, not understanding scoring or testing procedures, or anything else, we're here to help.  You can contact your child's teacher, or the front office, or the principal directly.  Email is often best.  Phone the front office if you don't know the email address you need.

IT Equipment

Most students have been issued with a school iPad for them to use at home during this period of remote learning.  Some of our Prep students have taken home one of our desktop computers.  If there are any problems with that equipment not working as it should, please be sure to let us know.  We should be able to find a solution.  If necessary, we'll do our best to provide you with a replacement.

We have arranged for Year 9/10 students to receive a laptop.  These are hard to get at the moment.  Happily though, they have arrived and we are busy loading them with software and getting them ready to send home.  We expect that to be completed very soon.  We'll notify Year 9/10 students of pick-up arrangements as soon as they are good to go.

Photos

We'd love to see some photos of students working at home.  Would you please take a few snaps and send them in.  Please email them to admin@milduracc.vic.edu.au

We'll post a bunch in our next newsletter along with some photos of staff working at school.
