5/6B Primary Mass

This Friday 20 September, 5/6B students will be leading the Primary Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 9:15am. The Mass will celebrate the feast of Our Lady of La Salette.  All parents and friends are warmly invited to attend the Primary Mass on Friday at  9:15am.

19 September is the feast day of

Our Lady of La Salette.

Mary, the Mother of Jesus, appeared to two young children who were watching some sheep one afternoon on September 19, in 1846 near a town called La Salette. Mary spoke to the children about the importance of daily prayer and attending mass. She said if the people of the country did not change their ways there would be a great famine. After hearing of the apparition of Mary, many miracles occurred in the community and at the site. The greatest miracle was truly spiritual: people started to attend Mass faithfully and confess regularly, they stopped working on Sundays, and they returned to living a pious and devotional life.

Now that the warmer months are upon us, Saturday evening Mass is now back to 6:00pm.
