Australian National Piano Awards

This prestigious award is held biannually at Eastbank and this year Mrs. Drinnan and the piano students were invited to the official launch of the Awards last Tuesday evening. The students were wonderful representatives of our College, looked absolutely dashing in their ‘good’ clothes and behaved impeccably. They enjoyed some food and drink before being entertained by Victor Hu, a young pianist from Melbourne, and local singer / guitarist, Jessica Lorraine, from Nathalia. The students also listened to various dignitaries speak about the Awards.

It is hoped that we will be able to hear some of the competitors one afternoon in competition week.

Shepparton Young Instrumentalists Award

Not long now before entries close for the 2018 SYIA. This annual event is held on 23rd September at Eastbank and includes sections for Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, Voice, Strings and Piano. Entries close on the 31st.  This is a fabulous opportunity to gain performance experience and receive feedback from professional adjudicators.
